Description

Overview: 1982 Chevrolet Scottsdale 10 half ton short box. Originally out of Frenchtown Montana 60,000 original miles. This truck is close to factory it has been cleaned up some but remains mostly original. Aside from the air cleaner and dual exhaust the drivetrain is stock. 305 small block Chevy. it has the factory style quadrajet carburetor, ordered with the 700R4 overdrive transmission and 3.08 open differential. Runs and drives great. In town and on the highway at 75mph its a really fun cruiser it even gets decent fuel mileage. The exhaust has a good tone to it. the engine and transmission are in great working order. The options really make the truck stand out including it being a factory short box (117.5 wheel base) rally wheels, tilt steering wheel, chromed rear bumper, V-8 engine with the overdrive transmission, deluxe front appearance package, chrome sport mirrors and solid white paint.

-Interior: It's original aside from a fresh black carpet kit, i do have pictures of the floor boards underneath they are really solid. The dash has your typical cracks but is in fair shape. all the gauges work well. It has a basic cd player in place of the factory radio the dash has not been cut up. Both the ignition and door lock key are original to the truck.
-Body: The truck has a rebuilt/salvage title due to an insurance payout at low speed the truck drove into a fence and pushed in the front drivers fender and part of the door as seen in the pictures. There was NO other damage i like things original so i never replaced the body parts but it would be an easy fix the inner fender and other body parts are untouched. It has the later style 83-87 grill in place of the stock unit. The truck has minimal rust. New windshield all the glass is in good shape. I have detailed photos available of the entire undercarriage of the truck and floor boards. The floors, cab corners, rocker panels and cab mounts are all solid, zero issues with the frame. The box is really straight on the inside no rust. tailgate is excellent. There is some rust on the two rear corners of the bed shown in the pictures, it doesn't go into the structure of the box. The paint shines in some areas but is dull in others its original to the truck.
-Work it could use: Overall its ready to be in service with a catalytic converter i don't see why it couldn't pass smog since mechanically its stock/factory if that's an issue in your area. The shocks are a little squishy the brakes are great, the front end feels good on the road. The tires have lots of tread left. The body could be left original its in good shape, this truck would be an ideal candidate for a paint job or full restoration since its not all tore up.
